"Mu Dan Wang", a white tea 2012, from the terroir of Tai Mu Shan, in the province of Fujian.
This "King of Bai Mu Dan" is close, in terms of processing as well as in its characteristics, to its older brother the Yin Zhen: it contains the tips and two first leaves of the tree, as evoked in its Chinese name, which means "White Peony". Its liquor is crystalline, its fragrance has the freshness of spring, and evokes the taste of soya milk.
Tea & health
White teas are refreshing, thirst-quenching and rather poor in theine (caffeine). According to Chinese traditional medicine, white teas can balance the excess of heat by lowering the body temperature, tone up the skin and lesser the effets of menopause.
White teas are mostly drunk (in China, Taiwan) during the summer season.

J’aime les thé blanc, j’espère que celui-ci sera à la hauteur des mes attentes !
